Consultancy work

1.

Observations and advice

I carry out observations of whole groups and environments of specific children, with feedback provided to staff, as well as suggested strategies and advice and a detailed written report. I support staff in the development of resources using suggested strategies and help to embed them.

2.

Modelling and coaching

I work alongside staff to model and develop good practice in relation to all aspects of SEND.

3.

Development of specialist groups

I work with staff to develop and lead social skills, speech and language, sensory and fine motor skills groups, circles of friends etc.

4.

Developing whole setting/school practice

I work with staff and the wider community to develop aspects of practice. Projects start with audit and action planning and then collaborative working to develop chosen aspects of practice.

5.

Audits of environment

I work alongside staff to complete environmental audits. I offer support following audit to help work on areas identified for development.

6.

SENCO support

I can help with Ofsted readiness, EHCP applications, record keeping and paperwork, transition and supervision - supporting SENCOs with difficult situations, problem solving and review process.

7.

Developing parent/carer/family support and interaction groups (see below)

8.

SENCO cover

Short and long term cover provided.

9.

SENCO training

I can provide tailored 1:1 training and support for SENCOs new to the role.

Menu of Support

All support offered has been developed with the aim of developing whole setting/group/

community practice and is designed to build capacity amongst staff, professionals and families to

offer the highest levels of support for children with SEND, enabling them to achieve their full

potential.

Development & Project Work

I work with the community and groups to develop policies and protocols, new provision, and support the creation of

new initiatives.
